Last night (Wednesday) was another sleepless night. Caleb's oxygen saturations continued to fall below the range of 75-85 and instead of bouncing back, would hover in the 60's and even fall into the upper 50's. All assessments done were negative and he didn't look in distress. His coloring was dusky blue and his hematocrit count was a bit lower than last time tested so the doctors suspected a blood transfusion would be beneficial. He was on oxygen overnight after the episodes and into the afternoon; however, he's been off for a few hours and his numbers have looked better. Please pray that this settles out, as it is extremely unnerving as well as extending our "stay".
He had a hearing test done today. He passed but they want him to follow up due to being on the medicines he's on and being on the ventilator for such a long time. He liked wearing the cool "headphones"! The other picture is from his swallow study yesterday.
