Discharged!
Caleb is home! I took this picture as I first saw his precious face this morning. It was a perfect moment. Tears welped in my eyes as I've never before seen him with no tubes, oxygen, or IV's on his face. His nurse had him looking so handsome and I was just speechless to see a huge grin when he opened his eyes-- with no scalp iv's or tubes! I couldn't wait to get this little boy home to his family! Bo had tried to talk me into going to see him today (although I think he was trying to get out of his flu shots he was getting today!). They were all elated to have their brother home. I had a lot of "help", although it is so challenging to keep up with all of his meds, feeds, taking care of what comes along with Caleb, and still be Mommy to 4 others that need constant assistance. We'll adjust and figure it all out, but in the meantime, I'm taking it minutes at a time! God has blessed is with a glorious weekend with amazing weather for Caleb's homecoming! We are going to treasure every moment of being together!

ReplyDeleteHappy Homecoming Caleb and Family! :) There is no sweeter day than the day you leave the hospital and get your family life back and your little boy all to yourself again! He is so beautiful! Such a strong little boy who has survived so many difficult challenges! We are so proud of you Caleb and your loving family! Will and I saw Zack drive by on Saturday during our walk and his face looked relieved, now I know why! :) Hope to drop some homecoming presents off later this week after you have had time to settle in to the routine of life again. Next weekend will mark the 12th year of celebrating LIFE for Will!:) We continue to pray for an easy transition for Caleb to homelife! :) Much love and relief of prayers answered, The Severson Family
