Still Waiting on Report

The official report from GI has not come back.  Since starting the Reglan medicine, we've had 3 much better days.  He's averaging 1-2 throw ups a day  (today only 1) and he isn't wrenching all the time, like he had been previously.  He continues to refuse the bottle.  I honestly don't try daily because he's been throwing up so frequently.  I had to take him in to have bloodwork done yesterday due recent med changes (decrease in lasix) to make sure his electrolytes were in balance.  Once again, it is nearly impossible to stick him.  The nurse tried a couple of veins in his arms and was about to try his head when I had to sit down and take deep breaths!  He was going nuts and it was a lot for momma to take in!  Thankfully, she was successful in another arm attempt.  His potassium was actually high, so we decreased a med.  He's pooping all of the time thanks to the new medicine, Reglan.  The purpose of it is to help with motility and it definitely does that!  He was pooping, no kidding, every hour and a half.  His cardiologist adjusted it on Monday and since then, he's going about 7 times a day, at least.  His little bottom is so raw.  Hoping some Happy Hiney rash cream works quickly!

  2. That happy hiney is good stuff...we would put Will on the bed blow dry his bottom on low warm and let it breath with no diaper for as long as we could on a water proof pad mid day and then again after his bath...the cream works good and has an anti fungal that will help...thinking of you all in our chaos of beginnings this last couple of weeks! All sounds really good! Feedings will come...can he take a pacifier at all? Hope to see and talk to ya soon! :) The Seversons
